A healthy bacterial culture in horses is very important for the digestion of food and for maintaining a strong immune system. Horses have a sensitive intestinal flora that could get out of balance due to a change of ration, a worm cure, colic or from the use of medication. HorseFlex probiotics is a custom made probiotic to support healthy bacterial strains that provide extra support for the intestinal flora of the horse. It keeps the bacterial cultures in the guts healthy and in balance.
A healthy intestinal flora
The digestion of the horse starts in the mouth. Through saliva the food gets moved to the esophagus, towards the stomach. A horse has a small stomach, because they usually eat small amounts throughout the day. This means that there is a constant flow of food from the stomach to the intestines. First, the food enters the small intestine and afterwards the appendix, large intestine and rectum where the dung balls are formed. A horse produces feces 15 times a day.
In the appendix and the large intestine the roughage is mainly digested by the bacteria in it. The food moves very slowly through this part of the system. In this way the body of the horse is able to extract a lot of nutrients out of poor or hard to digest food. Because different bacteria strains live in the intestines, it means that you can’t just switch rations. Every strain has a different function and by changing the rations the bacteria don’t get the chance to relate to the new food that comes in.

Composition
Composition: Maltodextrin(e), Corn Starch, Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium lactis, Bifidobacterium longum, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactococcus lactis.
Feeding advice
Daily dose: Give 3 to 4 weeks. In the first week 2x daily, then 1x daily. Body weight <350 kg: 2 grams. > 350 kg: 3 grams. 1 measuring spoon contains approximately 5 grams.
Administer: Preferably dissolve in lukewarm water and let it stand for 15 minutes. Then administer or add to the diet. Preferably give on an empty stomach.
Storing information
Make sure that the product is closed well and kept dry. Keep out of reach from children. Do not use after the expiration date. Store dark and cool.

Probiotika wird super von meinem Pferd angenommen. Zur gewünschten Wirkung kann ich noch nicht viel sagen, da ich diese erst seit 1,5 Wochen füttere. Ich bemerke aber schon eine leichte Verbesserung der Darmproblematik meines Pferdes.

Fijn product. Tijdens de verhuizing van mijn ijslander ruin heb ik de probiotica ingezet en dit heeft zijn darmflora goed ondersteunt. Ook na het geleidelijk overschakelen naar ander ruwvoer ben ik de probiotica van horseflex blijven geven en hij heeft de verandering goed doorstaan. Zuinig in gebruik je hebt niet veel nodig en een eerlijke prijs. Erg blij mee, ik heb een tweede pot gekocht, gewoon om het in al huis te hebben mocht ik nodig hebben.

Je hoeft maar heel weinig te geven, echter wel op de gok. er zit een schepje bij dat 5 gram zou geven en 2 of 3 gram dosering wordt aangeraden voor pony of paard. ik zou dan liever een 1 grams maatschepje erbij willen hebben zodat ik accurater kan afmeten.

Ik gebruik de probiotica nu 1 week bij mijn paard en lijkt al positieve invloed op z’n mest te hebben. Het is minder zacht en wordt steviger, droger.
Na een antibiotica kuur leek het me sowieso goed om te geven.
