Rose hip as a healthy snack
Horses often love rose hips and eat them both fresh and dried. Do you have a bush in your garden or pasture? Then you can give the hips fresh to your horse! The fruits ripen in late late summer and early fall. If you don’t have a rose hip bush or fresh hips, you can of course choose our dried rose hips. These little vitamin bombs are a true healthy snack for any horse!
Varied diet
For horses, a varied diet is very important. Originally, horses eat many more different things than we often offer them. Therefore, vary with different herbs, vegetables or fruits. Herbs such as nettles, thistles, plantain, dandelion, cleavers can be picked fresh or dried. This of course also applies to fruits and vegetables, which can be given fresh or dried as in this Veggie Treat Mix. The controlled drying process retains almost all nutrients and 1 gram of dried vegetables is equivalent to about 10 grams of fresh vegetables.
