The joints of horses
The joints are connected between two bones that make movement possible. Most joints in horses are mobile, also known as synovial joints, the ends of the bone are covered in cartilage. The cartilage protect the bones and is important for the protections of the bones in the joints. Around the joints you see the joint cavity with in it the so-called synovium. This is the thick liquid and can be seen as the oil in the joints. Hyaluronic acid are one of the most important components of the synovia and is essential for healthy and strong cartilage. The joints ensure the mobility and help your horse to move.
The muscles of horses
The muscles of your horse consist out of muscle fibers, that are attached with tendons to the skeleton. A nerve runs to each muscle, which in turn sends a signal to the muscle to which it responds. The muscle fibers shorten or lengthen which makes movement possible. The horse’s body consists of about 700 muscles, which is about 40-50% of its total body weight. Without muscles, a horse would not be able to walk, chew and eat or wag its tail. It is therefore important that your horse’s muscles are strong and healthy.

Voor mijn ene pony gebruik ik al een tijdje jointpower en merk ik ook echt dat het haar goed doet. Nu ben ik de magnesiumcitraat aan het testen bij mijn andere pony, voornamelijk voor haar concentratie. Ik test het alleen nog niet lang genoeg om aan te geven of het al iets doet

Onze Pony is wat rustiger,blijft bij schrik minder lang hangen in zijn spanning. Merk ook dat de bewegingen wat soepeler zijn. Maar we gebruiken het nog niet lang genoeg om goed resultaat te zien.

Mijn 15 jarig trekpaard merrie begon de laatste tijd wat onregelmatig te lopen in draf. Steeds was het in het begin goed te merken en naarmate we langer aan het rijden waren werd het minder en was het vaak ook op het laatst helemaal weg. Het lijkt erop dat ze even warm moet lopen met haar spieren en of gewrichten. Artrose komt veel voor bij trekpaarden… Ik ben nu 1 week bezig en ONGELOOFLIJK!!! Haar 1ste drafje is 90% beter en bij het 2de drafje loopt ze op wolkjes!!! Ik raad het iedereen aan!
