When to give stomach supplements to horses?

A horse’s stomach is relatively small with a capacity of about 8 to 15 liters. This is why horses can only eat small portions at a time. Naturally, a horse eats small portions spread throughout the day. On average, a horse in nature spends about 16 hours a day chewing roughage (hay and/or grass).
